We jumped at the chance to perform at such a prestigious venue, steeped in performance history and work towards such an exciting goal that involves other schools across our fantastic capital. We didn’t choose Bollywood, as we were the last school to get involved and we probably would not have chosen it. But I’m so chuffed that we are doing Bollywood. The boys have really got into the technical challenges of moving very fast in perfect unison. The music is wonderfully engaging and the Dance Artist makes the experience so enjoyable.

To perform at such a unique and world famous venue, with 11 other schools, to wonderful live music in front of a huge audience is an unforgettable experience for our students. The hard work in rehearsals can really be rewarded by the quality of the final experience. This project helps build the profile of dance in the school for both students and staff. It is wonderful to give the students these opportunities to be a part of something that they will never forget.

We witness the pleasure they are getting during the sessions, trying to perfect the movements, checking each other and getting really excited about the big performances to come. Bryan-Ray Kasombo, one of Forest Hill’s performers, said: “I’m nervous and excited about the big performance at the Royal Albert Hall. Learning a different dance style has been enjoyable and the speed of Bollywood makes it really challenging to keep up with the music. We’ve also got to keep in time with each other, or it just won’t look right.”
