The Council for Dance Education and Training (CDET) promotes excellence in dance education and training.

It accredits courses at vocational dance schools, advocates on behalf of the private dance training and teaching communities and provides a comprehensive information service about dance education and training.

CDET offers advice and support to students, parents, teachers and artists. It also informs the work of government and other agencies working in dance.
