Hazel Fish
MSc BSc (Hons) CertEd (PCET) MCSP SRP AISTD DipHSW
Hazel
Fish went to dancing lessons from an early age, and enjoyed Ballet,
Modern, Tap and National dancing. At 18 years old she went to university
in London to train to be a physiotherapist, and at the same time continued
dancing and took her teaching exams in Ballet and Modern.
After
6 years in London she moved to a small village in Somerset,
and started two dancing schools as well as working full-time
as a physio. At the same time she also found herself teaching
dance students and dancing teachers information about how
the dancer's body is made up (anatomy) and how it works (physiology).
This took her all around the country and she met many interesting
people and learnt a lot from them too. Throughout all this,
Hazel kept on studying in her spare(!) time and did another
degree and then her qualification to teach in further education.
Now
Hazel is having a break from all the above while she enjoys
time at home with two young sons, but she still likes helping
dancers and dancing teachers to learn more about their bodies
and how to get the best from them.
